The States Americans Don’t Want To Live In Anymore (And Where They’re Moving To!)
See which states in the US people are moving out of most and why they’re leaving: from jobs to retirement!
2. Illinois
Not only does Illinois has great farm produce, great colleges, and sports, but it also has one of America’s greatest cities (Chicago). However, the state’s economy is not doing so well. In fact, unemployment is on the high side compared to other states. On that of that, taxes are among the steepest in the entire US.
What’s more, the State of Illinois has America’s second-highest property taxes and a pushing flat household income tax. Recently, Gov. J.B. Pritzker promised to implement a progressive income tax on Illinois wealthiest residents, adults over 55, and those earning over $150,000 a year. So it’s safe to say that would definitely lead an exodus from Illinois.
