Around the same time, Doug Crowed, another member of the research team, also found six pages of ship logs while doing in-depth historical research on Oak Island. According to the text, there’s a secret tunnel from which the pit’s bottom can be reached. “It has been agreed that a deep pit be dug, and treasure securely buried,” says the log. It also claims that the pit has “a secret entrance by a tunnel from the shore.”
With this finding, as well as the seeming confirmation of Templar treasure, Rick and Marty feel their $7 million investment will soon pay off. And they even know where to look next, based on the ship logs: a location on the island known as Smith’s Cove.
