Sadly, despite Stokke’s best efforts to establish herself as a positive, educational athlete, the internet did not want to see her in a different light. The modeling offers and the like continued to fly in, despite the young pole vaulter’s protests and stance against them.
In a short time, things got to the point where Stokke no longer felt safe. After all, as you might imagine, not all of the messages were kind. Some came from accounts that bordered on stalking, making Stokke worry about her physical safety. Once, she had just been a young, carefree athlete. Now, thanks to one photo, security had become her greatest concern!
